Description

Starting with a life sketch of Srila Rupa Goswami, the Mathura Mahatmya tells the glories of Mathura, which is a speech of Lord Varahadeva to Mother Earth, here called goddess Vasundhara. Srila Rupa Goswami has included various processes of devotional service by quoting statements of various scriptures. In this way he establishes that Mathura vanquishes all one’s sinful reactions and awards piety and liberation.
