Description
The Lalita-madhava describes the Lord’s pastimes in Dvaraka & Mathura. It is a spiritual drama in ten acts, which was completed in the year of 1532 a.d.
It begins in Vrindavan with separation from Krishna and ends in Dvaraka when the gopis reunite with Krishna and His queens, while maintaining their previous identities. Thus separation resolves into union and marriage in Dvaraka. The story includes details different from the pastimes mentioned in the Bhagavatam. Thus Visvanath Cakravarti explains that details of the drama were enacted in a different kalpa of Brahma.
